The Kenya Family Safari provides a wonderful ecological, cultural and family experience in Kenya. All of the hotels and lodges featured are child-friendly with excellent facilities. The children will be entertained by trained naturalists throughout the safari. No other trip provides such an array of day-to-day activities to satisfy every member of a mixed group, be you an inquisitive young child, an energetic parent or a grandparent wanting a little more relaxation. This safari is ideal for families with young children, but also a great safari for couples or a group of friends.

• Day 1: Nairobi Upon an early morning arrival into Nairobi you will be met and transferred to the Ol Sereni Hotel. This afternoon you will be collected from the hotel for an “Out of Africa” experience. Follow in the footsteps of Karen Blixen as you travel towards the Ngong Hills, you will feel swept immediately onto the film set of Out of Africa the moment you arrive. The old colonial farmhouse is simple, housing a few items that Karen Blixen chose and once enjoyed herself. There are also the colorful gardens to explore, where several old coffee machines have laid untouched for decades. From here visit the Giraffe Center, where the highly endangered Rothschild giraffe can be admired. With an elevated viewing-cum-feeding platform, this tour is wonderful for children. Overnight Ol Sereni Hotel, Club Room.

• Day 2: Nairobi Samburu National Reserve This morning you will transfer to Wilson airport for your scheduled flight to Samburu. You will be met by the lodge vehicle and taken to the lodge arriving mid morning. After lunch you will embark on your first game drive of your safari, returning to the lodge in the late afternoon.

• Day 3: Samburu National Reserve Morning and afternoon activities in Samburu National Reserve.

• Day 4: Samburu Lake Naivasha After an early breakfast depart with a picnic lunch and travel south through Isiolo, crossing the northernmost foothills of Mount Kenya, until you get to the town of Nanyuki. Here you'll head west to Nyahururu, still known to many as Thomson's Falls for its 237-foot cascade. Now travel in a southerly direction to Lake Naivasha, arriving at the lodge by late afternoon. Overnight at Great Rift Valley lodge.

• Day 5: Lake Naivasha Lake Nakuru This morning depart for a morning game drive to Lake Nakuru National Park and return back to the lodge for lunch and the remaining of the afternoon will be spent at your leisure to enjoy all the local activities offered.

• Day 6: Lake Naivasha Masai Mara National Reserve After breakfast, you drive to the Naivasha Ebony Curio Emporium, the largest of its kind in the world, where one can watch expert craftsmen working. It is fascinating! This is where the country's best work can be purchased at factory prices. Return back to the lodge for lunch before being transferred to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to the Masai Mara. Here you will be met by a camp vehicle and taken to the camp to drop off your luggage before going out on a game drive, returning back to the camp as the sunsets. Overnight at Mara Intrepids Camp.
